These cool, boho-ish silk yarns are made by tearing or cutting vintage Indian saris and sewing and/or tying them together to make a continuous yarn.
Each skein is about 80 yards...give or take.
They are made by Indian women co-ops and allows them a trade to rise up above poverty.
The ribbon is overdyed after the yarn is made to give it a funky blend of colors.
This yarn can be knitted, crocheted, used in weaving, jewelery making and other crafty projects.
